Ricoh released a new firmware update version 2.0 for the Pentax K-3 III and K-3 III Monochrome cameras. Here are the changes from the previous version:


[Additional features]

  • Added limited function [Grad ND Shooting].
  • * A special activation key (release key) obtained from a website or other source is required to activate the limited functions.
    Note: The Grad ND Shooting activation key issuance is a service that will be launched first in Japan. the launch of this service outside of Japan has not yet been determined.

[Enhanced features]

  • Added Type 3 to the item of the AF.C tracking AF point method.
  • Added focus sensitivity setting item for AF.C.
  • Added USER mode setting [BOX] write/read function.

[Others]

  • Improved the number of consecutive frames when shooting with crop.
  • Improved stability for general performance.
  • * When this update is done, you will not be able to restore back to version 1.00.

Caution

  • Only PENTAX K-3 Mark III Monochrome users are permitted to download the firmware update.
