This is an update on my TTartisan 50mm f/0.95 vs. Leica Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 lens comparison. First, a quick vote for fun - can you guess which picture was taken with which lens (the answer can be found at the bottom of this post):

Can you guess which photo was taken with the TTartisan 50mm f/0.95 and which with the Leica Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 lens?
Here are a few observations on both f/0.95 lenses:
The TTartisan 50mm f/0.95 lens is slightly bigger. The Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 lens is heavier (835 g vs. 755 g):
The TTartisan 50mm f/0.95 lens comes with a massive metal front lens cap that alone weighs almost 50 g (you know I like metal lens caps):
The TTartisan 50mm f/0.95 lens is rangefinder coupled and you can focus it in the viewfinder. I perosanlly prefer to focus in live view. The TTartisan 50mm f/0.95 lens is not 6-bit coded:
Minimum focusing distance for both lenses:
- TTartisan 50mm f/0.95: 0.7 m
- Noctilux 50mm f/0.95: 1.0 m
A reader asked me about the viewfinder blockage since the lens is big - here is what to expect:
