The latest Nikon interviews:

  • Phototrend published their CP+ interview with Nikon – plain vanilla answers, nothing interesting to report. And no, Nikon did not say that they will produce a full-frame version of the Zf camera (Df successor) as some websites reported. Nikon’s standard answer for years has been “we cannot comment on future products, we are evaluating the market situation” which doesn’t mean anything.
  • Interview with Toshikazu Umatate, President of Nikon at Yahoo Japan: the Nikon Z9 is doing very well and is expected to reach 230 billion yen in sales or approx. $1.7 billion, divided by $5,500 – that means Nikon sold more than 300,000 Z9 units – is my math correct?
  • Xitek published an interview with the developers of the new Nikon Z 85mm f/1.2 S and Z 26mm f/2.8 lenses.
