For this new Komaru soft release for Leica cameras, Patrick Borie-Duclaud the designer of Komaru, has chosen a damask steel with a very contemporary design:
The Parallell Layers
™
, manufactured by the Swedish company Damasteel®.

This exceptional steel is machined in France to precise detail in the Arve valley, known the world over for its century-old expertise in metal cutting.

Every Komaru Damascus Parallell Layers
™
has been hand manufactured and the complex pattern, unique to Parallell Layers
™
Damascus steel, means that every single Komaru soft release is one-of-a-kind.

Machined from a bar of Swedish Damascus steel, the Komaru is 100% pure, with no other materials added, so it looks just as good underneath as it does on the top.

It includes the innovative dual contour which has already won over thousands of photographers.
Both convex on the outside and concave in the center, it makes it easier for the finger to naturally find the center and improves stability at release. The conical screw on the Komaru Damascus Limited Edition is compatible with all Leica models, old or new, and most cameras fitted with a soft-release screw thread.

Get your hands on the new Komaru Damascus Parallell Layers
™
and rediscover what soft release truly means.
