The latest leaked pictures of the Leica Q3 camera confirmed the specifications I have been reporting for months now (swivel screen, wireless charging, etc). Clearly, the first Leica Q3 picture I reported last year and the Q3 pictures I posted last week were also 100% legit:
Here are the latest/rumored Leica Q3 camera specifications:
- Leica is expected to announce the Q3 in the last week of May
- Improved focus illumination mechanism
- Contactless charging system (similar to how an electric toothbrush is charged)
- New finish
- Same 60MP sensor and image processor as the Leica M11
- Same body, lens, and image stabilization as the Leica Q2
- Code name “Wilson”
- Higher price than the Q2 (currently $5,795)
- Swivel screen
- Higher MP EVF
- Internal memory
- USB C charging
- 8k video (I have been going back and forth on this one, still not 100%)
- Phase detect AF
- New handgrip with wireless charging
- Shutter button with a traditional cable release
- Same Leica BP-SCL4 lithium-ion battery but with higher power/mAh (milliamp/hour)
