I like many things but some of my favorites are local arboretums and gardens for landscape photos and also close ups of flowers. Also like parks including state parks for hikes and national wildlife refuges (live near the Great Swamp National Wildife Refuge where I like to take short hikes to observation points to photograph birds).

Also like street photography in NYC but focus mainly on architectural details, not people since I am a little timid about photographing strangers!

Favorite tools include the Leica Q2 for many things and the SL2 with a long Sigma zoom for birds.

I know that at first it can be a little awkward to take pictures of strangers, but after a few times you get used to it. I remember the first time I had to approach someone I didn't know on the street and ask him if he wanted a free photo shoot, I was really embarrassed, but I realized that people are sociable.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon best seen in the Arctic and subarctic regions. They are caused by the interaction of solar winds with the Earth's atmosphere, and they can create stunning displays of light in the night sky.
